Timeless
Porcelain Lighting

The design of “Timeless” adopts wood trunk leftover from construction or industrial process as the mould for a porcelain light shed. A thin layer of porcelain dough is used to wrap the trunk as if forming a new annual ring like a tree. It does not only record the grain texture of the trunk but also symbolize an embrace of nature.

Upon high temperature during the burning process, the wood trunk is burnt out, leaving a thin cylindrical layer of porcelain with grain texture marked on the inner side. The outer side is kept smooth intentionally as a contrast. When light source is lit up internally, the wood grain will be revealed on its outer surface. We do believe that it is a continuation of the spirit of a tree.
